WelcomeBreakfast is served each Sunday from 8:45 until 9:20 a.m.  Coffee/Social is held in Creasy Hall following the 10:30 service. The nursery is available from 7:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. each Sunday, and is located in the Christian Education Building behind the Church.

 

Today we welcome Fr. Rick Moore.  He will be leading us in worship while Fr. Tim is attending Cursillo.

 

The Adult and Children Sunday School classes meet from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m.  The Children Sunday School classes meet in the Christian Education Building.  The Senior High class meets in the Church Loft.  The Adult Sunday School class meets in the Library in Creasy Hall and is continuing their study on the Gospel of Matthew.

Members of the Order of St. Luke will be available immediately following both services for anointing and prayers for anyone who has a special need. Please meet them at the far end of the first pew of the choir section.

 

Children’s Church is every Sunday during the 10:30 service and welcomes all children ages 3 to second grade.  The children gather in the front of the sanctuary just prior to the sermon and follow the cross out to the Christian Ed Building.  They return during the Peace.  If you have any questions please contact Liz Sampson at 386-5999.

 

Youth Group will not meet today.   

  

The Prayer Meeting is on Monday at noon in the Library.    The Wednesday Bible Study is on break.  They will resume on Wednesday, December 2.  Thursday Bible Study is at 7:00 p.m. at the Graves’ home.  Friday Morning Bible Study is at 10:00 a.m. at Graceland Assisted Living, 19095 FM 2252, Garden Ridge.  For more info call the church office at 658-5956.

 

Our Every Member Canvass (EMC) continues today.  Fr. Tim will bless the pledge cards we received during the previous week and any received today during next Sunday’s service.  If you have not had a chance to turn your pledge card in it is not too late!  Next Sunday, November 22, will be Celebration Sunday which officially wraps up our EMC  Please join us as we Continue the Journey.  If you have any questions about stewardship please talk with Bill Ercoline. 

 

Nominations are being sought for three Vestry members and for one Delegate to Diocesan Council.  The October Matt’s Missive has information concerning qualifications and duties.  Recommendations should be given to Derek Charette, Suzi Hopkins, or David Ince, our Nominating Committee.  The date for nominations has been extended until tomorrow, Monday, November 16.  As in past years, nominations will not be accepted from the floor.  Elections will take place at our Parish Meeting on Sunday, December 6, at 9:30 a.m.

 

Everyone is invited to join in the celebration of Pat Perry’s ministry as she leaves her position as our parish secretary.  The festivities will be on Wednesday, November 18, at 6:30 p.m., in Creasy Hall.  Dinner will be served.  There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex.

 

RACAP is sponsoring an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at Universal City United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 19, at 7:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.     

 

This year our Joint Thanksgiving Service with Christ the King Lutheran and Universal City United Methodist churches will be on Sunday, November 22, at 6:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1129 Pat Booker Rd, Universal City.  Everyone is invited to attend this service as we all give thanks for our many blessings.  We will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items that evening to be given to RACAP.

 

The Dining Out Group will not meet in November or December.  They will meet again on Thursday, January 28, 2010.
